Our Town 2008

Hello, visitors to Jim Coe’s Orange Acorn blog.

Just finished a 4-performance run of Our Town, a Young Isaac presentation of the Thornton Wilder classic.

The theater was intimate (470 capacity), the play was sensitively directed by Ian Short and produced by Matt Slaybaugh, both of Available Light Theater of Columbus, OH.  And over a 7-week period, 18 actors of various degrees of thespianship grew together as one performing organism, and by opening night, June 26, pleased 400 attentive & energetic theater-goers.

The take-home…be in the here, be in the now, appreciate this wonderful, awful gift, life.  We will pass over into a (next)(?) but in the meantime…this IS the meantime.  Make it talk!
