THE BEST THING ABOUT THE FUTURE…

The best thing about the future is that there IS NO DATA!thornton may

I heard this quote, possibly attributed to the noted futurist, Thornton May, at a transformational leadership panel discussion this morning at TechColumbus. This panel was anchored by Maureen Metcalf of Metcalf & Associates, Ben Blanquera, Rattan D’souza and Carl Fernyak of MT Technologies.

What this means to me:

1.  Don’t just connect the dots…

2.  See the invisable dots…

3.  Draw the dots…

4.  BE the dots!

About orangeacorn

We are, I believe, and everything is, in perpetual unfolding/enfolding/evolving. By surface appearances, we're in turmoil and fearfullness, but in fact our existence is on the edge of a new way, beyond the US versus THEM we have grown with. I encourage you to join me over coffee or tea in face-to-face encounters. I call this exercise, "CAFFEINE COMMUNION: Encounters with Paradigm Pioneers." I'm a Columbus, Ohio husband, father and citizen. I practice string band sounds from the ridges of Pocahontas County, West Virginia, the vortex of the ancient drone.

    Jim:

The quote was indeed from Thornton May who in turn attributed it to another source. So I’m not sure about the original source.

Glad to note that my “Be the dots…” discussion resonated with you.
